The Hati wolf is one of the sons of the fierce Fenrir wolf. His name means "he who hates". In Norse mythology, Hati is accompanied by his brother Sköll, "he who mocks". To explain the movement of the sun and the moon in the sky, the ancient Norsemen told that these two wild beasts chased the two celestial bodies, incessantly trying to catch and devour them.
