This pendant embodies the ferocity of the wolf, representing the powerful wolf Sköll.
Inspired by the events of Ragnarök, this magnificent pendant depicts the wolf Sköll about to devour the Moon.
The legend behind this pendant
The wolf Sköll is one of the sons of the fierce wolf Fenrir. His name means "the one who mocks". In Norse mythology, Sköll is accompanied by his brother Hati, "the one who hates". To explain the movement of the Sun and the Moon in the sky, the ancient Norse told that these two wild beasts were pursuing the two celestial bodies, constantly trying to catch and swallow them.
According to Norse legends, Sköll and Hati will manage to devour the Moon and the Sun when the time comes for Ragnarök — the final battle between the gods and the forces of chaos — plunging the world into darkness and terror.
This pendant is the perfect gift for all who appreciate Norse legends.
